Bring it

Yesterday, was quite a day. I started it off, by having coffee in my commuter mug, on the way to work. After parking, I sat in my car for a moment finishing off my coffee. Tipping the mug back caused some coffee to rub off on my nose from the lid. I walked two blocks on a sunny morning, saying hi to the regulars in front of the jail (hot dog vendors, bail bonds barkers) and all the way through the west wing, foyer, to my floor on the east wing. Stopped by my boss's desk only to have her tell me I have something on my nose.

Great. Being told I'm a brown noser by my own boss. The irony is probably full of carbs, to boot. Eff word.

I came in second in the humorous speech contest, because I didn't listen to my inner voice. I had a 10 minutes story to tell, and 7 minutes to do it in. Over 7 minutes and you're disqualified. So I shortened it, and my speech lost its luster. I should've kept it at 10 minutes, and enjoyed telling it better than some stoogy 7 minute rule. This is why I'm not a joiner of things. Damn group mentality doesn't sit well with me.

It's been ten years
