Golf Lesson #1 Was Awesome

What a difference lessons make. Now I just have to practice what I learned before the next lesson. I'm actually sore, for the first time, from hitting a bucket of balls. That must mean I'm using the correct muscles for the first time. I hope that's what it means anyway. Sunday Jan and I are going to practice what we've learned. Our next lesson is on Monday again.

Tonight my friend Susan is coming over to work out with me in my workout room. We have a lot to catch up on. Lots. She just joined our GNO (Girls' Night Out) which is more like Girls Gone Mild than anything, because we keep getting home before dark.

I'm looking forward to a mellow July 4th weekend, and enjoying the extra time off.

I bought my tix to go to Montana to visit my Mom in September. More Girls Gone Mild. Yee haw.

Freshly washed

This ole car still has a lot of red in her. Looks good, eh?

Tonight is Jan and my first golf lesson. The only thing I hate about golf lessons is, I don't want to tell anyone because they'll expect me to be good. Now I'm gonna suck at golf and have to tell people, yes I've had lessons. Oh the cross I bear.

Happy Monday everyone!

Yay the house is painted!

And boy did they work hard on the prep work. The weirdest thing was having all my windows masked over for two days. Thankfully I have air conditioning, because it was like being in a submarine.

My brother made a funny

He says I'm a rockaholic. I was up till 1 am last night playing Rock Band and having way too much fun for a Wednesday night. I think he may be right!

My most notable accomplishment last weekend was getting this piece of glass out of my heel. It was there for 12 days. I went to a doctor, for something else, and asked him to look at it. "I don't feel anything". (That's what SHE said..)

While perusing the police blotter on the Mercury News..

I was happy to have found this nugget:

Charter Street, 3:15 a.m. Tuesday A caller said a low frequency electrical sound was keeping him awake. He also mentioned that when his court case is over, he plans to move from the building, then have his blood drained and replaced like in the Spacebot cartoon. Police were advised.

Finally got an XBox

And I spent half of yesterday playing Rock Band 2 on it. While drinking champagne. On a Monday. That I scheduled off. I rule. Then I stayed up watching Kathy Griffith on Bravo.

I started today by cleaning graffiti down the street and not finding parking at work.

Moxie seems to be out of sorts lately and I've made an appointment for her to get a checkup. She has not done well on the last two times I took her running, and I find her sleeping in corners in the house during the day when I'm home. My Mom suggested I feed her venison dog food, so Moxie is getting canned venison now. She loves it. It has a high gag index, for me anyway. Maybe all canned dog food has that, I don't know.

Now I need to get someone under the age of 20 to come over and set up my Rock Band 2 properly. I apparently am not smarter than a 5th grader.
