Rutilated quartz

I bought this quartz crystal years ago, with a gal pal who got me into making bead jewelry. It was on a strand of about 8 faceted teardrops. It was about $75 so we decided to split it. Somehow I only ended up with one. But it's a beauty. I just had it custom set with the gold cap and bale. It is amazing how the sparkly gold rutiles ended up inside the quartz
