angel hair cabbage plus bacon equals win
By no stretch of the imagination am I a cook. I'd like to share something I made that didn't suck.
Ingredients: bacon and pre-packaged angel hair cabbage.
Prep time is about 3.78 minutes. If you have craptastic rusty cake pans like I do, use aluminum. I used to be addicted to buffalo wings. I am so lazy I'd bake them and store the leftovers in the pan in the fridge. That's what caused the rust. Don't do this.
I made two pans because I was hungry. I should have only made one. Each pan has one package of angel hair cabbage.
Pile as much bacon as you can on top.

Throw it in your craptastic oven. As you can see I've set fire to food before. Don't do this either.
Here's what it looks like if you set it at 400 like I did. Next time I'll set it at 375 so the bacon cooks more evenly. The cabbage is tender and very tasty and bacon is always good. Always. You could get artsy fartsy and add craisins or something for a special occasion.

glitter magnets
There are a lot of sites online showing how to make these glitter magnets, and I decided to give it a try. I got the flat backed glass pebbles at the dollar store. I spent way more than that at Michael's' getting the glitter, the Mod Podge, magnets and about $80 of other stuff I didn't need whatsoever.
For my first try, I didn't suck which makes me very happy.
I only bought two colors of glitter, brown and red, so I got out my nail polish to get more of a variety. I think I want to try this again with bigger pieces of glass, and more glitter colors.
Actually I'll skip the loose glitter altogether and just buy cheap glitter nail polish. There is glitter everywhere. These magnets took about an hour to make, and I'll be cleaning up for about three. Tomorrow.
What I learned:
What I learned:
- too much Mod Podge = dries white, not clear
- cheap glitter nail polish is much better than loose glitter
- use hefty big magnets that are more practical, and have a bigger surface to stay adhered
- use super glue or E6000 and nail polish and skip Mod Podge altogether = much faster drying time
