Salad = mayonnaise

There's tuna salad, chicken salad, turkey salad, egg salad, but there's no beef salad. Why not? I think I would like that. Or bacon salad, now we're talking. It's not like any of these are actual salads, they're stuff mixed with mayonnaise.

And spinach dip isn't called spinach salad, since there is an actual salad that is made from spinach, whereas spinach dip would be very similar to any of the previous "salads" I mentioned above. Spinach dip is a dish that gives you spinach to chew on while you eat mayonnaise, which I have nothing against, but people fool themselves that they're eating healthy when they're not.

New Windows

Today, I found my happy place again finally. I am getting new windows for the house. I cannot wait. I will take before and after pics. Waiting 5 weeks is going to be tough. I can't wait!

All I can talk about lately is contractors and estimates and even I am boring myself to tears with it.

Mox and I ran tonight and the smell was awesome. Luckily I don't get allergies, the fruit trees are in bloom and the temps today cooked up a heavenly smell.

Solarity now!

My head is spinning, like planets around the sun. I'm trying to see if I can swing getting solar panels when I get my new roof. It is overwhelming. I am a nervous wreck. When I'm nervous I feel the need to throw out things. This weekend I'll be cleaning out my garage. The next few weeks are filled with contractor appointments for roofing, gutters and solar. Oh and stump removal and ceiling repair.

I joined Toastmasters this week too.

Bang

Ladies' night at Reeds was fun yesterday for our monthly GNO. I took a print out of a procedure that both me and my manager hate to the range, and had all the girls shoot the shit out of it. I am bringing it back to my manager today, to hang proudly in her office. She's going to love it. Afterwrds, we went to Pedro's to enjoy the last half hour of their happy hour.

I'm posting this from my now completely wireless laptop, which I've had for 8 years. I've replaced the hard drive once, and now it has a new battery. I've had a wireless card that was presumed dead last summer when I finally tried to use it. Other's wireless laptops didn't work at my house either, so I bought a new wireless router. I couldn't get it to work either even with hours and hours on the phone with India.

Fast forward to my year of household repairs. I had to get a new heater in January. Lo and behold the heater emiitted a frequency in its dying year that interfered with my wireless. Suddenly my old laptop has an excellent signal and so do other wireless laptops. Luckily I kept my old router. I will find a use for it someday maybe.

So I get to start getting bids on a new roof. My new project. I'm going to look into solar panels also. After that, painting the house. After that, blah blah blah. It's a constant project, owning a house. Oh poor me I know.
